Butterfly Pi Shawl

This is a shawl I originally designed for my mother, who was crazy about butterflies! It can be knitted with 1400 yards of laceweight yarn for a very wearable shawl (shown in the Pattern Gallery) or in 1400 yards of worsted weight yarn for an afghan or throw (shown below). Both versions blocked out to 60" across, chock full of butterflies and flowers.

The lace patterns are charted. The plain rounds and increase rounds are written out.
